UCLA invited recruits to a BBQ on campus today to show off the new Wasserman Football Center and the new building is already paying off with recruiting. That’s because, today, the Bruins landed not one, not two, but three big recruits.
Bruin Report Online called it “one of [UCLA]’s biggest days in recruiting since Jim Mora has been UCLA's coach. Perhaps it’s its biggest non-National Signing Day day.”
One of those recruits is CJ Parks, a wide receiver/athlete from Mater Dei HS in Orange County. Parks is a ranked as a composite 3-star receiver by 247Sports, but Scout ranks him as a four-star receiver.
Parks announced his commitment on Twitter.

Parks is 5’11” tall and weighs in at 175 pounds. He is ranked as the 9th best athlete in the West and ranked 19th nationally by Scout.
Here are his junior year highlights from Hudl.
Parks looks like a big-time playmaker in his highlights. He seems to be elusive when running after a catch.
Parks told Scout’s Greg Biggins that UCLA wants him to come in as an athlete. Biggins quotes him:
They want me to learn both positions. They like me as an athlete but I think I might start out at receiver since that's where I've mostly played.
Welcome to Westwood, CJ!
Go Bruins!!!
