They say good things come in threes. If that’s the case, then UCLA just got commitments from a heck of a trio when Dayven Coleman became the third UCLA recruit to commit to the Bruins since yesterday.
Coleman is a 6’3”, 200-pound defender from West Mesquite High School in West Mesquite, Texas. The Bruins beat out Pac-12 schools Utah and Colorado along with Syracuse for Coleman.
Coleman has both size and speed. He runs the 40-yard dash in just 4.58 seconds and he has a 34-inch vertical jump.
He announced his commitment on Twitter this evening.

Coleman’s nickname is “Day Day”, which seems like a bit of a misnomer after watching his junior year highlights that are posted on Hudl.com. It seems like “Night-Night” would be more appropriate because it’s lights out for the opposing offense. Take a look.
I really thought he was going to take that first interception to the house when I saw him make the pick on the goal line. Interceptions have been one thing our DBs haven’t gotten a lot of lately. Having guys that can make picks is one thing we need on defense.
Welcome to Westwood, Day Day!
Go Bruins!!!
