UCLA DB Coach Demetrice Martin has a very good recruiting reputation. Well, today, he picked up another defensive back for the Class of 2018 when Kendrick Torain, a coveted defensive back from Jesuit HS in Tampa, announced he has committed to UCLA Football. He made the announcement on Twitter as well as on Spectrum Sports Florida.
Here’s the full text of Torain’s announcement.
According to his Hudl.com profile, Torain is 6’2” tall and weighs 188 pounds while running a 4.48 40-yard dash.
Here are his highlights from Hudl:
From watching his highlights, it seems that Torain is a hard hitter who has a nose for the football and who seems to be able to nab opponents’ passes for the interception.
Torain is the second Tampa area defensive back to join the Bruins’ 2018 recruiting class. Last month, Ken Montgomery of Hillsborough High in Tampa also committed to the Bruins.
While Torain is ranked as a composite 3-star prospect by 247Sports.com, UCLA beat out Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisville, Wisconsin, North Carolina, North Carolina State, and Washington State, among others to land him.
Welcome to Westwood, Kendrick!
