UCLA Football Recruiting: Elisha Guidry To Continue Family Legacy with the Bruins

3-star DB Elisha Guidry will be a Bruin, just like his mom, dad and uncle.

The Guidry family poses for a picture with UCLA head coach Chip Kelly and DB coach Paul Rhoads.

The Guidry name is familiar to Bruin football fans. Paul and Javelin Guidry were brothers who played defensive back for UCLA in the mid-to-late 90s for Terry Donahue and Bob Toledo.

Well, next season there will be another Guidry wearing the blue and gold as Javelin’s son Elisha committed to the Bruins today.

The announcement was pretty much expected as Guidry seemed to be leaning heavily towards UCLA prior to making it official.

Elisha tweeted his decision just before noon.

Guidry’s mom Kaishauna also graduated from UCLA before going to medical school at Texas A&M.

Elisha will graduate from Vista Murrieta High School this Spring. He is 6’,0” tall, weighs 177 pounds and runs a 4.69 40-yard dash.

Here are Elisha’s senior season highlights from Hudl.com:

Guidry’s commitment brings UCLA’s 2018 recruiting class up to 17 members and he is the 5th recruit to commit to UCLA since last Sunday.

Here’s the updated list of the 2018 UCLA recruiting class.

Normally, at the end of our articles, we welcome to new commit to Westwood, but, in Guidry’s case, welcoming him to Westwood doesn’t feel quite right because he’s already been a part of the Bruin family. So, I guess, instead, I’ll just say this:

Welcome home, Elisha!

Go Bruins!!!
