The UCLA offensive line and the 2018 recruiting class both got a boost this morning as lineman Chris Murray announced his commitment to the Bruins at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
Murray is 6’3” tall and weighs 290 lbs. Murray will graduate from Mater Dei HS in Orange this school year and join the Bruins for Fall Training Camp.
Murray has primary played guard but is also versatile enough to play tackle as well. Murray is rated as the 12th best guard in this year’s recruiting class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
This is a big pick-up for the Bruins as the team continues to work on building up the offensive line. What might be even more important is the fact that UCLA beat out Stanford to land Murray and the credit for that goes to Chip Kelly and Hank Fraley.

Welcome to Westwood, Chris!
Go Bruins!
