Carl Jones became one of the Bruins more recent commits this month after he decommitted from Colorado on December 11th.
When he did that, there was speculation that the Bakersfield High School star was interested in UCLA and, sure enough, on December 13th, Jones made his announcement live on the BVarsity Live.

Jones is a 6’1” 195 pound athlete who can play on both sides of the ball, although coach Paul Rhoads and coach Jerry Azzinaro were the ones recruiting him which would lead you to believe that defensive back might end up being his landing spot at UCLA. In the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Jones is ranked as the No. 113 athlete nationally in the 2019 class.
During Jones’ senior year he ran for 296 yards and six touchdowns and caught 24 passes for 589 yards for seven touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Jones had 66 tackles and an interception. He was also a threat on special teams, where he had a combined 262 return yards this year via punt and kickoff return.
