This morning, the UCLA Bruins were able to tap into one of the greatest football pipelines in the Southland by receiving defensive back William Nimmo Jr’s. National Letter of Intent.
Coming from Mater Dei is a big deal—the Monarchs have a top notch football program, and we’re starting to see some of that talent making its way to Westwood.
Nimmo had received offers from Yale, Washington State, UC Berkeley, Iowa State, Florida, Colorado State, and others, but has chosen to be a Bruin. He will enroll early and bring more talent to the UCLA defense.
He is listed at 6’0”, 190 pounds and can cover his man while at the same time playing the ball.
Take a look at his senior mid-season highlights, thanks to Hudl:
We need defensive guys like that playing for us. So, it will be exciting to see what happens when the UCLA staff gets ahold of him next month. The nice thing is that he’ll have time to adjust to college life before ever setting foot on the field.
Welcome to Westwood, William!
