Well, the UCLA Bruins recruiting class got a little bigger this morning when 3-star JUCO WR Jaylen Erwin from Charlotte, North Carolina announced that he would transfer to UCLA from Hutchinson CC in Hutchinson, Kansas.

According to 247Sports, Erwin is a 6’1”, 175 pounds wide receiver, who also had offers from Troy, UTSA, Western Kentucky and Western Carolina.
Let’s take a look at some of Erwin’s sophomore highlights from Hudl.
In just the first minute of that video, Erwin returns a punt for a TD, runs a jet sweep and then elusively completely reverses direction, and, for good measure, he goes up high to catch a pass. That demonstrates some pretty amazing athleticism on Erwin’s part. And, no doubt is part of the reason that Erwin was offered by Chip Kelly.
Hopefully, he’s able to translate those skills from the JC level to the Division 1 level as he heads to UCLA. He is definitely a pleasant and surprising addition to UCLA’s 2019 recruiting class.
Welcome to Westwood, Jaylen!
Go Bruins!!
