4’s Up! Offensive Lineman Chris Murray Signs With the Bruins, After All

UCLA adds a four-star recruit to the 2018 offensive line.

@19AllAmerican

Chris Murray committed to UCLA at the Army All-American Bowl back at the beginning of January. For most of the day, it looked like he would not be signing with UCLA today due to “personal and undisclosed reasons”, but, tonight, his National Letter of Intent arrived at UCLA and he is officially a Bruin.

Murray is 6’3” tall and weighs 290 lbs. and will graduate from Mater Dei HS in Orange County this year.

Murray can play multiple positions on the offensive line, but has primarily played guard. He is quick to the point of attack and is slated to fit well in Chip Kelly’s traditional schemes. Another point to note is that he had offers from multiple Pac-12 schools, including Stanford, ASU, Colorado, and Utah, and other schools including Notre Dame and TCU. Before he committed, it was assumed that Stanford was all but a lock; however, Chip Kelly and Hank Fraley managed to change his mind.

Here are one-on-one highlights from his junior year, thanks to Hudl:

Allow us to finally and officially welcome you to Westwood, Chris!

Go Bruins!
