UCLA added another defensive lineman on National Signing Day when Otito Ogbonnia announced that he will sign with the Bruins.

Ogbonnia is a 6’4” tall, 290 pound product of Taylor HS in Katy, Texas. He announced his decision on Twitter.

According to Ogbonnia’s Hudl profile, he runs a 5.02 40-yard dash and a 4.72 shuttle. Ogbonnia can bench press 350 pounds while squatting and deadlifting 600 pounds. Seeing those weightlifting numbers, this guy sounds like a beast! Here are Ogbonnia’s senior highlights from Hudl.

After watching his film, Ogbonnia appears to be a relentless defender who can penetrate into the opponent’s backfield to either sack the quarterback or stop the run. He seems to plow through offensive linemen like a hot knife through butter.

Ogbonnia’s National Letter of Intent has been received by UCLA.

UCLA beat out Texas Tech, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Nebraska and Notre Dame to sign Ogbonnia.

Welcome to Westwood, Otito!

Go Bruins!!!
