Last evening, 3-star OLB Noah Keeter from Bucholz HS in Gainesville, Florida became the first recruit to commit to UCLA since the Early Signing Period closed last month. According to 247Sports, Keeter received an offer from Chip Kelly earlier in the day yesterday during his official visit to campus.

Keeter was previously offered by the Army Black Knights, the Navy Midshipmen, the Air Force Falcons, the Ohio Bobcats, and the Charlotte 49ers. Additionally, he had been offered a preferred walk-on spot with the Florida Gators. It certainly speaks to Keeter’s character that he was offered by all three service academies.
According to his Hudl profile, Keeter is 6’5” tall and weighs 230 lbs. He benches 230 lbs and can squat 320 lbs.
In his Hudl senior season highlights video, Keeter seems to possess enough quickness to out-manuever opposing offensive linemen and that results in an ability to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. He was also able to put that quickness to use to block a punt as seen at the 1:26 mark.
UCLA definitely needs help rushing the passer and, if Keeter is able to work his way on to the field, he could contribute as early as this coming season, even if he starts off rushing opposing punters on special teams.
