The Deseret News is reporting that four-star wide receiver recruit Puka Nacua, who visited Westwood just last week, will not be announcing his college decision today.
An article on the Deseret News website explains the situation:
His mom, Penina Nacua, sent a text early Wednesday morning saying the family was holding off on announcing the decision because they’ve been so busy with campus visits, all-star games, and life to sit down and thoroughly discuss Puka’s options.
“We need more time to break down the information and talk,” she said in the text. “We’ve been too busy and unable to find quality time.”
Nacua has been committed to Southern Cal since last June, but it looks like his recruitment will come down to a choice between Oregon, Washington and UCLA. He has visited each of the three schools since January 25th.
In fact, Chip Kelly had dinner with Nacua last week at Craig’s on Melrose Ave in West Hollywood last week when TMZ Sports shot this video:
So, it appears that UCLA Bruins fans will need to wait a little longer to find out whether Nacua will come to Westwood, head to Washington or Oregon, or stick to his commitment to Southern Cal.
