The 2020 UCLA football recruiting class got a big shot in the arm this afternoon when 4-star quarterback recruit Parker McQuarrie from St. Paul’s School in Weare, New Hampshire committed to the Bruins.

According to his Hudl profile, McQuarrie is 6’7” tall, weighs 215 lbs., and runs a 5.09 40-yard dash.
247Sports Composite Ranking lists McQuarrie as the 10th best pro-style quarterback recruit in the 2020 class.
McQuarrie explained his commitment to Greg Biggins of 247 Sports:
I loved it out there, I love what they have going on at UCLA and they were recruiting me harder than anyone. Coach Kelly is also from New Hampshire and that was pretty special. He really understands what it takes to build a successful team. It’s not just about taking guys for their talent but for their character as well....
He wants to run more of a pro-style offense, like what he did in Philly as opposed to the style of offense he had at Oregon. That’s what they ran last year and I think it’s very friendly to my style of play. I think coach Kelly is a smart enough coach that he’ll always adapt the offense around what a quarterback does best but I think it’s a really good fit for me overall.
Looking at McQuarrie’s junior year highlights from Hudl, it’s easy to see a lot to like with him. Obviously, his height stands out and gives him the ability to find his receivers easily. He seems to have an accurate throwing arm and he can complete both the long and short passes with ease.
In addition to UCLA, McQuarrie also had offers from Miami, Michigan, Boston College, Wisconsin and Missouri.
McQuarrie is the second recruit to commit to UCLA’s 2020 recruiting class. A few weeks ago, Jay Max Jacobsen became the first recruit to commit to UCLA’s 2020 class.
Welcome to Westwood, Parker!
Go Bruins!!!
