Humphrey is 6’2” tall and weighs 176 pounds. He ran a 4.58 40-yard dash at The Opening, according to Shotgun Spratling of the Los Angeles Times.

The 247 Composite ratings rank him as the 36th best defensive back in the country.

He received an offer from the Bruins on July 8th after attending one of UCLA’s high school camps in June.

Brandon Huffman’s article on 247Sports quotes Humphrey:

After visiting a few times, UCLA was just starting to feel like home. UCLA was a dream school for me growing up and on top of that I really like what coach (Chip) Kelly is doing with the program and how they coach. The fact that my family gets to come watch me play is big.

Overall, Humphrey seems to have the skills coaches look for in a defensive back. He looks like a hitter on both defense and special teams while having a good nose for the ball. Let’s take a look at some of Humphrey’s highlights from his junior year from Hudl.com.

Welcome to Westwood, John!
